Ernie arrived about 10 pm from Las Vegas. Lou, Dawn and I were headed out early so the evening was short thereafter.
Lou wanted to get out really early, so the alarm headed out. We drove over to Hayward to meet her friend Connie. Connie was closing her mother’s house and Lou was picking up her […]
Up real early to deliver the RV for service to Leale’s in San Jose. Traffic was light, as expected. It was just after the end of darkness after all. I had breakfast, listened to the radio morning jabber, and read while I waited for them to open.
The RV needed a little attention. The service light […]
Dawn had a doctors appointment in San Jose this morning so Lou took her down in the Toad. Before she left, she helped me back the RV out of the driveway. Normally, I back it in and leaving is real easy. I pulled it in head first to work on the batteries last week so […]
We got out early to the De Anza Flea Market. It’s been hot so an early visit was needed. This flea market is at De Anza College in Cupertino. It’s a huge monthly market to support the Associated Student Body of the school. Back in the late 70’s it was “the” place to get […]
The RV received it’s new windshield this morning. Quite a project. Two guys worked for about two hours to complete the job. It really was a bit odd replacing the windshield when it didn’t really obstruct much of the view but it was still growing and cracks could easily wander at anytime.
The crew […]
Today I got up early, actually 7:30 was never early during the working life but is now days. I do stay up late most nights so my so my days and nights are just offset a tad.
Anyway, I was up early to wakeup the RV so it could get a smog check. Darn, I hate […]
Saturday:
I spent most of the morning tweaking websites.
I didn’t get really moving until mid afternoon.
Our RV has a loose wall panel in the bedroom. It’s been working loose from the top. Turns out there were several reasons for the failure. The panel was only stapled, not glued to the framing. It’s an interior wall at […]
Got the new RV tires at Costco in Gilroy. There are closer Costco’s but none of them would install the tires on an RV. Camping World couldn’t even get the tires in the near future.
Time to get the tires replaced on the RV. They’re still round, but time has passed and even quite a bit of extra time. While they look good, 7.5 years for a tire is like 105 in human years. The south bay area isn’t a great place to find good RV tire sources. Looks like […]
I completed some more caulking. Only the right side roof line remains but it looks OK so should wait until another time soon.
Lou used the RV as a quit space to do the taxes last week. Funny how easily little messes add up. We finally completed cleanup and reorganization inside.
A couple of days ago the […]
