10.08.04 | Spokane, Wa

Up early. Washed the RV and the car. Evidently no water shortage here in Cour d’Alene. Looked around town and by the lake before heading for Spokane. Dropped by to see Dawn’s friend Andrea and her friends Gene and Susan. After dinner we hit the road about 1130 pm. We stopped for the night […]

We went into Missoula and got gas and LP. Don got a couple of shirts at the same place we got LP. Headed out toward Coeur d’Alene. We stopped at a book store in a small town West of Missoula called Alberton that advertised 10,000 books. Dawn found a couple she needed. Now they need […]

11.07.04 | Yellowstone NP

On Saturday, we entered the park from West Yellowstone. We had a reservation for the one night. We checked in at Fishing Bridge RV Park. Later, we went back to the office and sites had become available so we extended our stay for 8 days. We relaxed the rest of the day. I couldn’t […]

9.07.04 | Idaho Falls

We toured the caves at Craters of the Moon NM. Then we were on the road to Idaho Falls. The falls are only a short fall but very long. A man-made weir improves the falls and diverts water to a nearby power plant. Quite impressive! We were then on the road toward Yellowstone. We stopped […]

Today we went across the Snake river and looked and the springs up close. There is a nature preserve on an island next to some of the springs which gave a good view. We then took Hwy 30 to Twin Falls and then back up to Shoshone Ice Cave and then to Craters of the […]

We went to the Old Penitentiary in Boise. This is the old 1860’s Territorial prison which closed in 1973. The inmates quarried the stone to their own prison. Part of the old prison is the state arboretum. We left Boise and went to Hagerman. Here at Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument, they are famous for […]

We went downtown to look around. We looked around at the Capitol Building. Checked out the Basque Museum and had lunch at the Basque pub next door. We then went to the Albertson Wildlife Sanctuary. We tried to see the Old Penitentiary but it got too late. Dawn talked with another RV’er next door that […]

5.07.04 | Boise

We made it to Boise, Idaho today. We’re at the On The River RV Park by the fairgrounds. We took a walk along the Snake River which is right next to the RV Park. We’re actually in Garden City West of Boise about 22 miles. The River walk goes all the way into Boise. I […]
